Going to a museum in a hurry is not a good idea. And if it is a photography museum and the main exhibition is dedicated to Pentti Sammallahti then it is even worst. I´m sure that I´ll be back before February 27th, when it´s closing. Then, I´ll go with more time to enjoy each great picture with more calm, like this excelent photographer deserves.

I am not sure if his name is known out of Finland because he is a humble man and he likes to be out of every kind of public events. But this means nothing compared to the fact that Henri Cartier-Bresson considered one of Pentti's pictures in the top 100 ever. This is quite an impressive honour.

He is a social and landscape photographer. He usually takes white and black photographies with awesome results. A surprising characteristic of his work is the ability of capturing very unique situations.
Genius like him make photography be an amazing thing. Thanks to them I am happier everyday of being a photographer.

If you want to enjoy his work, you can visit the exhibition organised by the Finnish Museum of Photography of Helsinki.
